Job description

Infini Health is on a mission to redefine healthcare by delivering exceptional, integrated and holistic care to everyone. Infini is seeking a visionary, driven, and dynamic Director of Operations to support in scaling our operations, driving sustainable growth and contributing to a high-performing team centric organizational culture. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with operational expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to navigate the complexities of a fast-growing, innovation-focused healthcare company.

As a Director of Operations, you will be responsible for operational excellence across all Infini Health clinic locations. You’ll fortify current operations, drive operational strategy, streamline workflows, build a culture that fosters excellence and collaboration and partner with leadership to explore new growth initiatives in healthcare services, innovation, and geographic expansion.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Excellence:

  • Oversee and manage the Operations Management team to deliver dependable, outcome-focused leadership across all locations.
  • Collaborate with the Clinic Manager and Physicians to approve and implement SOPs, clinical protocols, referral systems, and workflow enhancements.
  • Work in close partnership with the Chief Medical Officer to track and improve quality metrics, and operational KPIs.
  • Optimize clinic infrastructure, EMR integrations, and third-party vendor partnerships for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure scalability of operations through effective systems, policies, and cross-functional collaboration.

Strategic Growth and Service Expansion:

  • Support in evaluating and executing opportunities for expanding services (e.g., key partnerships, organic and inorganic expansion of services, international consultation service, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology divisions).
  • Assist the launch of interdisciplinary care models and allied health programs.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of special programs including AI, biotechnology, and international partnerships.

People, Culture & Talent Development:

  • Support Marketing and Human Resources in recruitment initiatives and Talent Development Programs that align with Infini Health’s culture and values
  • Work closely with the Marketing team by providing strategic input on web presence, SEO, and peripheral platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, CMAJ), and by promoting key service lines including regenerative medicine (e.g., PRP, prolotherapy, hyaluronic acid, ablation) and complementary health services (e.g., physiotherapy, massage, nutrition, psychology).
  • Lead performance management for the Operations Management team, including setting benchmarks, conducting annual performance reviews, providing developmental feedback, and managing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Be a key participant in daily interdisciplinary rounds (e.g., surgical, interventional, pain, physiotherapy/rehabilitation).
  • Coach, mentor and support clinical staff, driving performance and quality while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Shape a strong organizational culture rooted in results-driven collaboration, engagement, collective success.

Financial Oversight and Performance:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Leadership team, Finance and Billing on budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
  • In collaboration with Finance, optimize procurement strategies and contract negotiations to drive value and margin improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage funding programs (e.g., SR&ED) to support R&D and innovation.

Compliance, Risk and Quality Governance:

  • Ensure full compliance with local healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and privacy laws across North America and Internationally.
  • Improve and implement quality improvement programs that ensure high quality and safe patient care.
  • With IT, maintain oversight of data security, operational risk, and regulatory performance indicators.
  • Act as Privacy Information Officer in compliance with the Privacy Information Act.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement efforts aligned with internal benchmarks and external expectations.

Innovation, Research and Future Readiness:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to advance next-gen protocols and therapies (e.g., stem cell, Botox injections, pain management innovations).
  • Support the development of a strong research and data infrastructure to support longitudinal insights and clinical advancements.
  • Harness EMR, PACS (Radiology Imaging), and clinical data systems to uncover care delivery trends and build real-time dashboards that drive operational insight and quality improvement.
  • Lead efforts in establishing a Board of Advisors to support innovation, clinical strategy, and scaling efforts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field required; MBA, MHA, or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 5 – 10+ years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably in private clinics, surgical centers, rehabilitation services, or multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Proven ability to scale systems, lead cross-functional teams, and drive operational excellence within a high-growth, patient-centered healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., CPSA, CPSO, privacy legislation, accreditation processes).
  • Familiarity with EMR platforms (e.g., Accuro), PACS systems, and healthcare data tools (e.g., Velox, Medeo, Clinical Connect).
  • Financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and performance metrics.
  • Skilled in Marketing & Human Resources oversight and building high-performing teams.
  • Trusted communicator who can build trust and alignment across clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, quality patient-centered care, and long-term growth.
  • Experience with growth strategy execution, market expansion, and launching new healthcare services or programs.

Working Conditions

  • Standard business hours apply, with the expectation of extended hours during peak periods or for urgent matters.
  • The role may require occasional travel to clinic locations, partner sites, or strategic off-site meetings.
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work environment, requiring adaptability, quick decision-making, and frequent context-switching.
  • Regular interaction with clinical and administrative staff, executive leadership, vendors, and external partners.
  • High level of autonomy and accountability, with performance tied to strategic and operational outcomes.

Physical & Psychological Health Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Willingness to maintain flexible availability, including occasional after-hours support, in alignment with the Physician's schedule and business needs.
  • Comfortable working at a desk and using digital tools for extended periods (e.g., meetings, reporting, EMR systems).
  • Frequent travel between Calgary clinic locations and occasional out-of-province travel for strategic meetings may be required.
  • Emotional resilience and psychological readiness to lead during times of change, ambiguity, and organizational growth.
