$90,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

This is a 5 day on site commitment in Mississauga.

Role Overview

The Director of Corporate Development will play a critical role in BoomerangFX’s mission to grow and scale by identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition and partnership opportunities. This role will report to senior leadership and will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and legal teams to strategize and manage complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Additionally, the Director will spearhead efforts to develop, refine, and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives, building BoomerangFX’s footprint in existing and new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships to drive business expansion.
  • Develop and present financial models, forecasts, and risk assessments for proposed transactions to executive leadership.
  • Actively participate in the negotiation process and oversee due diligence to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and areas for expansion or improvement.
  • Evaluate and recommend acquisition targets or strategic partnerships to enhance company performance and growth potential.

Commercial Negotiations:

  • Lead and manage negotiations with external stakeholders, including commercial partners and potential acquisition targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to secure terms that maximize company value and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external legal firms to structure and finalize agreements for acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate ventures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout all stages of M&A processes.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement comprehensive corporate growth strategies.
  • Contribute to and manage the ongoing development of business plans, operational strategies, and financial forecasts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on corporate development initiatives.
  • Communicate strategic objectives and project status to senior leadership, ensuring alignment across departments.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, or a similar strategic role, ideally with exposure to the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience executing acquisitions, mergers, and/or large-scale partnerships, including commercial negotiations and legal compliance.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in creating and analyzing financial models and forecasts.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies, with a focus on scalability and revenue generation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the medical or healthcare industry and experience working with regulatory and legal considerations in this sector.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: $90,000-$100,000 with OTE (On-Target Earnings) of $140,000.
