Business Development Manager

Location: Canada, remote (Victoria / Vancouver, BC preferred)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 + sales incentive bonus

Working with leading companies and software providers in North America, you will be empowered to seek new opportunities and leverage your existing network in the payments industry. You should be familiar with merchant needs, key terminology like tokenization, merchant acquiring, and onboarding automation, and eager to share your knowledge to drive growth in a culture of openness and collaboration.

The Opportunity

Join us as a Business Development Manager where you will focus on opening new doors, executing deals, and managing existing accounts. You should have a proven track record of closing deals, negotiating contracts, guiding implementations, and driving revenue growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

This role reports to the Head of Sales in Victoria, BC, and works closely with the North American Account Management team. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying opportunities and selling Worldline solutions to leading merchants and software partners.
  2. Exceeding annual gross margin goals.
  3. Staying current on industry trends and leveraging this knowledge for sales opportunities.
  4. Leading prospecting meetings and coordinating with the Developer Community Manager for technical integrations.

Who You Are

You are a proactive 'Hunter' who thrives on identifying opportunities and pursuing them relentlessly. You possess:

  • Proven success in deal closing.
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and excellent communication skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset.
  • A passion for payments and FinTech.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Additionally, you have:

  • Experience in sales of payments solutions, software, or financial services, ideally in the payments industry.
  • A relevant business network in North American payments and financial services.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
