Job summary

Shift Auto Group in Fredericton, NB seeks a seasoned Head of Accounting & Administration to provide financial leadership across a growing dealership network. You will oversee reporting, controls, budgeting, and forecasting, while guiding a multi-unit accounting team.

Reporting to the CFO, you will shape strategy, improve processes, and ensure tax/compliance with strong internal controls. Occasional travel to NB and NS dealerships is expected. Competitive CAD salary is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in automotive retail or multi-location organizations is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and OEM reporting.
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team across multiple business units.
• Help lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and inventory financing.
• Support business startups, acquisitions, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop financial models, policies, and standardized processes.
• Maintain strong financial controls and accounting policies.

Shift Auto Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Accounting & Administration to join our Corporate Services team in Fredericton, NB.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll provide financial leadership across our growing dealership network, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, effective planning, and strategic support for continued growth. What You'll Do

Competitive salary range $125,000–$150,000 annually , based on experience and qualifications.
