Job summary

National Bank of Canada Capital Markets, a leading FIG-focused unit, seeks a Director, Global Transaction Banking to own a strategic client portfolio and deliver sophisticated liquidity, cash management and payments solutions.

Based onsite in Toronto or Montreal, you will drive senior client discussions, tailor treasury strategies and coordinate with Risk, Product and Operations to ensure pricing discipline and profitable relationships.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with 7+ years in transaction banking, treasury services, or related financial services.
• Strong understanding of operating models of banks, insurers, asset managers and other NBFIs.
• Expertise in deposit gathering, liquidity and cash management, and payments.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop and grow a strategic FIG client portfolio with deposits and non-credit revenue.
• Originate and execute liquidity, cash management, and payments opportunities across NBFIs.
• Partner with Investment Banking and Global Markets to expand GTB share of wallet.
• Advise clients on liquidity, account structures and treasury needs; tailor solutions.
• Lead client discussions and account planning to drive revenue and profitability.
• Collaborate with Risk, Product, Operations, Legal to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Represent NBCCM at industry events to strengthen visibility and networks.
