A career as a Director, Global Transaction Banking within National Bank of Canada Capital Markets (NBCCM) means acting as a senior, trusted advisor to financial institutions and institutional clients on liquidity, deposits, cash management, payments and transaction banking solutions. In this role, you will own and develop an existing strategic portfolio of FIG relationships while originating new opportunities in partnership with Investment Banking, Global Credit Markets and broader Capital Markets coverage teams. The mandate is specifically focused on non-Bank -Financial Institutions (NBFIs), and other regulated financial institutions, insurance companies, asset managers, pension funds, private capital firms and payment providers. The Director will combine deep client engagement with strong knowledge of institutional liquidity and operating models to increase deposit share of wallet, transaction banking revenues and primary house-bank relationships. You will work in close proximity with Capital Markets Treasury, Risk Management Solutions, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Product, Operations and Technology to structure and deliver sophisticated solutions for complex institutional clients, while ensuring disciplined pricing, risk management and execution.
You will be part of the expanding Global Transaction Banking team within Corporate & Investment Banking, Capital Markets, working closely with the Financial Institutions Group and senior partners across the Bank. You will report to the Managing Director - Global Transaction Banking. This is a senior contributor role with significant client exposure and cross-functional influence. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded professional who can independently manage complex institutional relationships, navigate a matrixed organization, and mobilize internal partners around client opportunities.
This position is onsite, five days per week, based in our Toronto or Montreal office.
