Job summary

Jobgether, based in Canada, seeks a Director of Engineering, Core Experience to shape shared product experiences and platform capabilities across consumer-facing product areas. You will lead engineering managers and senior engineers, drive architecture, and deliver scalable, reliable systems in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• At least five years of engineering people leadership experience, including managing managers and senior contributors, with at least two years at Director level or equivalent.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-team engineering organizations for consumer-facing products or shared platforms.
• Three+ years as Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead with strong architectural judgment.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the Core Experience engineering organization.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Engineering Managers and teams.
• Oversee systems powering membership benefits, rewards, credits, and related mechanisms.
• Guide homepage, discovery, and engagement experiences to aid product exploration.
• Build and scale membership management capabilities across the platform.
• Develop shared platform services to improve consistency and accelerate delivery.
• Support customer operations and service workflows for seamless member experience.
• Partner with Product/Design/Growth/Data/Operations/Finance to deliver personalized discovery and engagement.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering practices to boost productivity and product capabilities.
• Guide architectural decisions for scalable, secure, observable, reliable systems.
• Shape hiring plans and team structures to support evolving needs.
• Balance speed with technical quality and long-term sustainability.
• Contribute to cross-organizational engineering initiatives and best practices.
• Engage directly in technical discussions when hands-on work resolves challenges.
