Job summary

LCDS is hiring Direct Support Professionals to work across Lambton County, including Petrolia, to support people with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. The role involves assisting with daily supports, personal care, medication administration, transportation, and leisure activities, while promoting independence and community involvement.

Applicants should have a G/G2 license, a reliable vehicle, and clear Vulnerable Sector checks, plus first aid/CPR and NVCPI certification

Qualifications

• G/G2 license and a reliable vehicle are required.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Current NVCPI certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with developmental disabilities is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community.
• Assist with daily supports (meals, personal hygiene, medications, appointments, housekeeping).
• Facilitate opportunities for skill development, independence and community engagement.
• Support individuals with leisure activities as directed by the person.
• Document needs and report changes to the team.
