Job summary

Lambton County Development Services is hiring multiple call-in Direct Support Professionals across various locations. Responsibilities include providing support to people with developmental disabilities both in their homes and within the community.

The role also involves assisting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. Compensation ranges from $23.59 to $24.28 per hour based on experience, with opportunities to work up to 44 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid G or G2 class license and a reliable vehicle.
• Willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Current certification in First Aid/CPR required.
• Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset.

Job description

What we are hiring for:

We are currently hiring multiple call-in Direct Support Professionals for our locations across Lambton County.

• Providing support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community
• Teaching and assisting with daily supports (ex. assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication administration, appointments, housekeeping responsibilities and money management)
• Facilitating opportunities for individual skill development, independence, personal growth, cultivating relationships in their community and leisure activities as directed by the person

We provide supports in: Alvinston, Brigden, Corunna, Forest, Petrolia, Sarnia, Oil City, Oil Springs, Watford and Wyoming.

We are also accepting applications for one-to-one support through Passport.

What you will need:

• Valid "G or G2" class license and reliable vehicle
• Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada
• Current certification in First Aid/CPR required
• Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset

Compensation and scheduling:

• $23.59 - $24.28 per hour based on experience
• Call-in - not a set rotation
• Scheduled a mixture of days, afternoons, and weekends
• Opportunities to pick up additional hours (up to 44 hours per week)
