Job summary

Epic Opportunities Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual disabilities live more independently in their homes and community. You will support daily activities, promote personal growth, and foster learning across various activities to meet each person’s goals.

Hours vary across morning, day, and afternoon shifts (8am–4pm) with a full-time role. Benefit packages, training, and opportunities for professional growth are included in this role in

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities is an asset.
• The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is necessary.
• The ability to multitask, problem-solve and take initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
• The ability to maintain integrity in all situations.

Job Summary

We are currently looking for enthusiastic role models who are passionate about getting involved in their community and helping people supported achieve their goals and develop their skills. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) assists individuals living with intellectual disabilities within their community with a focus on individual preferences and personal growth and provide supports to people in their homes and in the community.

Driver's license required.

Salary: $17.96-19.21 hourly

The successful applicant will be asked to provide a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and both a Child and Adult Abuse Registry check upon hire at their own expense (in light of long processing times for these checks we encourage applicants to apply early – this will reduce wait time to begin employment).
