Job summary

Karis Disability Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a permanent part-time role in Ottawa. Shifts range from days to evenings with alternating weekends, and occasional overnights. Wage is CAD 24.20–28.31 per hour.

You will help people with developmental disabilities live fully in their communities, assisting with daily activities and building skills for independence. We value inclusion and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Post-secondary education in related field is preferred.

Job description

Permanent, Part-Time Flex position (16-34) hours a week. Shifts very between days, evenings and alternating weekends. Maybe scheduled for the occasional overnight if needed. This includes weekends. Flex will be working in a pool of three programs. Wage range: $24.20-28.31

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.
