Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents in an assisted living or medical facility in Calgary. You will help prepare and serve meals, following therapeutic diets and portion standards, while maintaining clean dining spaces.

This role requires knowledge of sanitation, HACCP guidelines, and safe chemical handling. You will work in a team, manage time effectively, and multitask to meet service needs. Physical ability to perform duties is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Experience as a dietary aide or in hospitality and customer service
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions
• Good time-management skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Physical ability to perform duties

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals in accordance with therapeutic diets and portion standards.
• Setting, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing dining spaces.
• Maintain and perform cleaning duties or follow the posted cleaning schedule for that day.
• Monitor and restock service areas.
• Observe HACCP guidelines to ensure safe food handling / preparation methods.
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines using chemicals, cleaning, and sanitizing agents.
• Support with special function catering as delegated
