Job summary

University Health Network is seeking a Diet Clerk at Toronto Western Hospital to perform clerical support for the Nutrition Services department. The role involves updating diet orders, processing patient dietary requests, and ensuring accurate data entry into the Diet Office system.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
• Ability to input data accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hospital information systems.

Responsibilities

• Update diet order information in patient files.
• Write and update central feeding tickets per protocols.
• Process dietary requests from nurses, ward clerks, dietitians and patients.
• Generate print jobs from the patient information system.
• Enter patient diet orders into the Diet Office system.
• Summarize statistics per schedule.
• Cover clerical duties during vacations or sick relief.
