Job summary

North York General Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Dietetic Attendant for Patient Food Services. Your role includes meal selection, assembly, delivery, and tray collection, with focus on accuracy, sanitation, and excellent patient service.

You will operate kitchen equipment, document temps, and support the hospital’s commitment to education and care. Part-time unscheduled shifts cover days, evenings, and weekends at General Site, 4001 Leslie Street.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Public Health Food Handler’s Certificate, Mandatory.
• Strong customer service background and prior work experience in institutional food service an asset.
• Bilingualism in French/English an asset.

Responsibilities

• Pick, portion and plate food items accurately according to tallies and/or menus.
• Accurately record, document temperatures and other required information.
• Operate ware washing machines.
• Deliver food trays to patient units, assemble, deliver and collect trays & deliver nourishments to patients.
• Prepare cold food: sandwiches, salads and nourishments.
