Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Licensed Mechanic (310S and 310T) to join their team in Niagara on the Lake, ON. The ideal candidate will have both 310S/310T Licenses and Class G Driver's License with a clean driving history.

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic (310S and 301T)

Location: Niagara on the Lake, ON

Shift: This is a Float position - schedule may vary

Pay Range: $36.46/hour ($45.21/hour after 3 months)

Job Description
  • Inspect, service, and repair delivery and related vehicles to meet vehicle safety, operational, and productivity goals and standards
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs, order parts, document and update work orders, communicate with suppliers and operations, etc.)
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report quality control issues (e.g., wipers not working) to determine their cause and identify if mechanical or general repairs or changes to the vehicle warranty are required
  • Conduct repairs, order and install parts, and inform customers of the status of repairs.
  • Maintain parts inventory and purchase parts required for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Determines if parts can be rebuilt or repaired and returned to the active inventory.
  • Coordinate administrative requirements for preventative maintenance
  • Provide emergency road service when vehicles break down on route to assess if the vehicle can be repaired on site
  • Identifies root causes and repair options (e.g., location of repair, payment options, parts or other materials required, methods of payment, etc.)
  • Arrange for trucks to be picked up through third party vendors (towing companies), etc.).
Qualifications
  • Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310S and 310T) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components for cars, buses, and trucks.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License (Class A preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive equipment.
  • Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone in a fast paced environment
  • A clear driving history and criminal history
