Reporting to the Coordinator of Desktop and Mobility Services, the Desktop and Mobility Analyst is responsible for the effective administration, operation, troubleshooting, security, and ongoing maintenance of departmental desktop and mobility equipment, with particular emphasis on supporting 9-1-1 operations and associated technologies.
The Desktop and Mobility Analyst will be responsible for managing small to medium sized projects for the Desktop and Mobility Branch including development of planning, procedures and support plans, and assists/supports the Coordinator of Desktop and Mobility related to Branch planning efforts.
The Desktop and Mobility Analyst is accountable for the maintenance, support and operation of the department's technology solutions and will identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions using best practices.
Employees of the bargaining unit who are on Schedule A-2 at the time of ratification will continue to be paid in accordance with Schedule A-2. Employees of the bargaining unit who are on Schedule A-1 at the time of ratification will continue to be paid in accordance with Schedule A-1 until they are the successful applicant to a position at a higher Administrative Salary Level (Grade) or they (or the Association on their behalf) initiate a successful reclassification to a higher Administrative Salary Level (Grade) in which case they will be placed on Schedule A-2 and subsequently follow article 25-2 (Position Evaluation - Treatment of Incumbents).
