Under the general guidance of the Corporate Security Manager, the Corporate Security Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone who works, visits, or participates in recreational activities on City of Winnipeg properties. This is achieved by assisting in identifying, developing, and delivering a broad range of security services, including security consultations, threat risk assessments and audits, project planning review and support, security investigations, operational oversight of security guards, and staff training for various departments as needed.
Additionally, the Corporate Security Specialist actively participates in emergency responses, representing the division as required or contributing to the broader emergency management response framework.
