Job summary

NTT DATA BCU, Inc. in Prince Rupert, BC, is seeking a Deskside Technician - Auxiliary to provide on-site and remote IT support. The role focuses on resolving routine and non-routine problems and maintaining user productivity.

You will install hardware and software, support Office 365 and Active Directory, manage tickets, and work with minimal supervision. On-call shifts evenings, weekends, and nights are expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience with desktop and software support, and hardware repair.
• Experience with printer support, Office 365, Active Directory, and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Receives, reviews, and completes service requests.
• Resolves technical problems transferred from the Service Desk that require an onsite presence.
• Installs and configures computer hardware and software, peripherals.
• Works independently to identify underlying issues and resolve problems.
• Provides preliminary instruction to customers on systems and protocols.
• Alerts Manager to potential problems with systems and applications.
• Provides feedback to Manager on processes and issues.
• Must regularly lift machinery, tools, supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 kg.
