Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is looking for a capable Department Supervisor to help customers find the right solutions for their projects and to guide a team of associates in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead efforts to provide outstanding customer service, maintain stock levels, and drive sales through strong product knowledge and merchandising execution.

As a leader, you will coach and develop associates, manage staffing to meet business needs, and work with store management to implement

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• 1-2 years experience as a supervisor / leading teams.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire associates to build relationships with customers, associates and peers to provide exceptional service and drive sales.
• Ensure department staffing levels meet business needs.
• Manage associate performance through development, communication, rewards and recognition, and ongoing feedback.
• Review sales and reports with assistant manager to improve inventory, organization and cross merchandising to drive sales.
• Maintain 100% in-stock and overhead organizational plans.
• Investigate, resolve and escalate customer issues as appropriate.
• Communicate store sales, events and promotions through rallies and weekly department meetings.
• Uphold all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols.

What You Will Be Doing
