Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a Department Supervisor who will lead and inspire associates, coach, train, and drive strong merchandising and customer service to achieve sales goals. This role emphasizes teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and a commitment to customer satisfaction within a busy retail environment.

You will manage staffing, performance, and safety standards, collaborate with store management and operations, and participate in daily rallies and meetings to keep teams

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience as a supervisor / leading teams.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive top-line sales.
• Ensure department staffing levels meet business needs.
• Manage associate performance through development, communication, rewards, and feedback.
• Review sales and inventory reports with the assistant manager and optimize merchandising.
• Maintain stock and overhead organization plans.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues as appropriate.
• Communicate store sales, events, and promotions through rallies and department meetings.
• Ensure safety and asset protection standards are communicated and followed.

What you will be doing:

• Leading and Inspiring associates to build relationships with our customers, associates & peers in order to provide exceptional customer service and achieve top line sales with strong merchandising and product knowledge
• Ensuring department staffing levels meet business needs
• Managing associate performance through development, communication, rewards and recognition, and providing ongoing feedback
• Reviewing sales & other reports while working with assistant manager to make recommendations for improvement on; inventory, overhead organization and cross merchandising in order to drive sales
• Maintaining 100% in stock and overhead organizational plans
• Investigating, resolving and escalating customer issues as appropriate
• Communicating store sales, event and promotional activities through rallies and weekly department meetings
• Ensuring that all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols are clearly communicated and followed
