Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Knowlton, Quebec is seeking a department manager to lead daily operations in-store. You will oversee team performance and ensure smooth execution of store plans.

You will set objectives, coach staff, manage purchases, inventories and budgets to ensure readiness and high standards of customer service. Training is provided as we expand our team and invest in growth.

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail experience
• Ability to lead a team and manage department goals
• Strong communication and coaching skills
• Customer service oriented and able to work day shifts

Responsibilities

• Define objectives and clearly communicate expectations to your team
• Manage purchases, inventories, price lists, and marketing within your department
• Ensure budgets are respected and targets are achieved

What might a typical day look like?
