Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Saint-Basile-le-Grand, QC is looking for a Department Manager to oversee daily operations within a department, lead a team, and ensure achievement of performance goals. The role involves coordinating purchases, inventories, pricing, marketing, and productivity while adhering to budget guidelines.

The position offers training opportunities and career growth within a family-oriented store environment, with a 40-hour work week mostly during daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• 2 years of retail experience.
• High school diploma or college degree.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a department manager, you will have to perform various management activities within your department.
• You will define objectives and clearly communicate expectations to your team while providing feedback for continuous improvement and coaching them to achieve results.
• You will ensure the management of purchases, inventories, price lists, marketing, salary productivity according to established standards to ensure business readiness.
