Job summary

Dr. Navaneelan & Associates in Cornwall, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support dentists and hygienists, prepare rooms and equipment, and maintain patient care quality.

You will handle X-ray imaging, chart updates, and sterile processing while upholding IPAC standards and professionalism. NDAEB/provincial certification required; prior dental assisting experience preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body or association.
• NDAEB is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$25-$30/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
