Discovery Dental in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join a patient-focused team. The role includes preparing rooms, assisting during procedures, taking X-rays, and maintaining infection control to ensure safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour

Tuesday: 10:45am - 7:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am - 4:45pm

The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.
