Job summary

Sault Family Dental in Sault Ste. Marie is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists and ensure patients receive exceptional care in a friendly, collaborative environment.

You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take X-rays, manage charts, and help with scheduling while upholding IPAC and privacy guidelines. This replacement role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified dental assistant with provincial body.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments and maintain patient comfort.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday (8:00-5:00)
Occasional Fridays as needed

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$25-$35/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
