Job summary

Bartle & Gibson’s is seeking a Delivery Driver and Warehouse associate in Canada. The role involves driving, loading/unloading, and warehouse duties to ensure timely deliveries and accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities include planning efficient routes, maintaining safety standards, and handling paperwork for shipments. Prior experience in customer service and a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract are preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract
• Minimum AGE of 25 AS PER OUR INSURANCE COVERAGE

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment
• Operate, navigate and drive company fleet vehicles in a safe, legal manner
• Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency on the road
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions for assignments
• Participate in loading/unloading of company fleet trucks
• Follow Department of Transportation policies regarding load securement and transport of dangerous goods
• Provide information for incident reports related to health and safety issues
• Accurately receive material and/or pick and ship orders
• Ensure paperwork is completed properly and documents maintained for shipping
• Organize products efficiently and maintain inventories
• Pull products from yard and warehouse as required
• Maintain warehouse space and perform cleaning duties
• Restock materials as required
• General warehouse duties and maintenance as needed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be appropriately dressed for the elements (Wearing appropriate PPE as required)
• Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
• Operate, navigate and drive all company fleet vehicles in a safe, efficient manner following the rules of the road set by government legislation
• Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency while on the road
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions for work assignments
• Participate in the loading and/or unloading of company fleet trucks
• Follow Department of Transportation policy and procedures regarding Load Securement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, and operation of a commercial vehicle
• Provide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issues
• Accurately receive material and/or pick and ship orders
• Ensure all paperwork completed properly and documents maintained for shipping purposes
• Organize product efficiently and maintain inventories
• Pull products from yard and warehouse as required
• Organize space in the warehouse and perform cleaning duties
• General warehouse duties and maintenance as needed
• Restock materials as and when required
• Other duties as required
