Job summary

Pattison Food Group is hiring a Delivery Driver for Save-On-Foods locations in Nanaimo, BC. The role focuses on delivering groceries with a company vehicle, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the online shopping team.

You will operate a delivery van, adhere to safety standards, and maintain the vehicle. Benefits include paid weekly, discounts, and related programs. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and travel across shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid, full BC Class 5 driver's license.
• Clean driving record/abstract.
• Serving It Right certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in customer service.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties.
• Proficiency with mobile tech (GPS, smartphones).

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a fully equipped van while providing customer-first service.
• Collaborate with online shopping team and customer service to resolve recovery issues (returns, refunds).
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and in accordance with road rules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Nanaimo, BC.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.
• Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.
• Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.
• Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Other duties as assigned.

You have:

• A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.
• A clean driver’s abstract.
• A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in a customer service-related role.
• A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing. Must be able to travel and make deliveries throughout the day and evening in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in using mobile technology, including GPS applications and smartphones.
