Job summary

Save-On-Foods Nanaimo is hiring delivery drivers to bring groceries from our stores to customers’ doors. You will work with the online shopping team to resolve order issues and ensure timely, friendly service.

You must hold a BC Class 5 license, have a clean driver’s abstract, and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. We supply the vehicle and cover gas, insurance, and maintenance costs. Starting pay is competitive per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

• Ability to use mobile tech and GPS apps while driving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a van and provide customer-first service.
• Resolve service issues with online orders, returns, and refunds.
• Meet operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.
• Operate the delivery vehicle safely and follow road rules.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Just show up and drive!**We are hiring for a Delivery Driver at our Save-On-Foods locations in Nanaimo, BC.****You will be responsible for:*** Delivering groceries in a fully equipped van and providing exceptional customer-first service.* Working with the online shopping team and customer service center to resolve customer service recovery situations involving returns, refunds, etc.* Achieving operational standards for the Online Shopping Department.* Operating the delivery vehicle safely adhering to the rules of the road.* Maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness.* Other duties as assigned.**You have:*** A valid, full class 5 provincial driver’s license from BC.* A clean driver’s abstract.* A current Serving It Right certification or willing to obtain.* Experience in a customer service-related role.* A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude.* Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical duties including prolonged sitting, bending, climbing, and pushing.
