Job description

Our client, Purolator, is seekinga Courier/Delivery Driver to join their team. As a Courier, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting Logistics and Delivery Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Utility Courier
Location: Richmond, BC
Shift: 40hours/week
Pay Rate: $22.12/hour ($25.07/hour at3 months and $37.38/hour at2 years)

What's the Job?

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
• Scan packages/mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)
• Advise the unit manager when inspections fail

What's Needed?

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License for at least 3 years required
• No more than four (4) demerit points on Driver's Abstract
• Must successfully pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods training
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers
• Strong organizational and time management skills
