Job summary

Purolator is seeking a Relief Sorter/Delivery Driver in Truro, NS. The role offers a permanent position with a relief schedule at 25 hours/week and flexible shifts to meet business needs.

Pay rates are $19.28/hour as a Sorter and $21.84/hour as a Courier. Responsibilities include delivering packages, scanning shipments, and performing daily vehicle inspections with training provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Driver's License for at least 3 years.
• No more than four demerit points on Driver's Abstract.
• Must pass Defensive Driving and Courier Methods training.
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules.
• Scan packages/mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day.
• Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and E-DVIR.
• Advise the unit manager when inspections fail.

Shift: 25 hours/week - Relief Schedule - flexibility required for various shifts to meet business needs.

What’s the Job?

• Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
• Scan packages/mail as it is received, delivered, or returned to the depot at the end of the day

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)
