Job summary

Yee Hong in Canada seeks a Program Assistant for the Day Program on a temporary full-time basis for 2 months, with potential extension. Under the direction of the Program Manager, you will assist in planning activities and delivering high-quality services to clients of the Day Program.

Responsibilities include implementing activities safely, crisis intervention when needed, coordinating with clients and caregivers, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Social Work or Social Services, health sciences, activation, or equivalent.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Program Manager/Program Coordinator, plans or participates in planning activities for Day Program clients.
• Implements and ensures smooth operation of activities in a safe, hygienic, supportive environment.
• Provides crisis intervention or behaviour management as needed and supports clients' needs.
• Maintains up-to-date client and volunteer records and reports.
• Supports volunteers with guidance and training.
