Job summary

Brother Canada is seeking a Senior Specialist, Data Governance, to drive data consistency, quality, and protection across the organization. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborate with IT and business units, and ensure adherence to data governance standards.

The role offers a hybrid work model, with potential remote days, and a focus on operational effectiveness, data integrity, and data-driven business outcomes. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a data-related field.
• 5+ years of data governance and data management experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional data governance projects.
• Experience collaborating with data-centric organizations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with the framework.
• Participate in RFI/RFP processes and testing for data governance solutions.
• Maintain data governance tools to ensure data quality, security, and consistency.
• Collaborate with business units, IT, and data teams to gather requirements and provide guidance on best practices.
• Create, review, and update data dictionaries and related artifacts quarterly or as needed.
• Develop KPI-based reporting on data governance activities and compliance.
• Lead training and communications to educate employees on data governance.
