Morgan Stanley in Montreal is seeking an experienced Senior Data Governance Lead to head the global HR data governance function. The role focuses on ownership, data quality, and controls to enable trusted workforce decisions at scale, with cross-functional collaboration across HR, analytics, and risk teams.

The position requires 8+ years in governance/quality domains, bilingual knowledge, and a hybrid work setup based in Montreal.

Qualifications

Experience in governance, data quality, and data management in a complex environment.
Ability to shape teams and set clear expectations for execution and improvement.
Ability to translate policies and controls into practical guidance for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilités

Build and develop a globally coordinated team with disciplined governance practices.
Establish and maintain data governance foundations: ownership, sourcing, cataloging, lineage, controls.
Deliver prioritized HR data quality initiatives from the governance roadmap.
Partner with HR product, analytics, engineering, and risk teams to embed requirements into systems and AI tools.
Define and oversee controls and monitoring to produce reliable metrics and timely remediation.
Translate governance outputs into clear documentation and metadata for transparency.
