Job summary

AMA is seeking a Financial Analyst for multiple 6–12 month contract opportunities in Alberta. The role supports the Finance team, turning data into actionable insights to drive business decisions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, refine processes, and help strengthen financial operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starting mindset.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Business or Finance.
• CPA or other designation is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a finance role.
• Strong accounting and financial analysis knowledge.
• Experience with financial modelling and forecasting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for decision‑making.
• Improve and maintain forecasting models for accurate financial planning.
• Review and guide technical work by accountants.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Complete month end close and publish financial statements on time.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and controls.
• Prepare disclosures for year end reporting to stakeholders.
