Job summary

The Alberta Motor Association (AMA) is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and turn data into actionable insights that support business decisions.

Reporting to the Manager, Finance, you will analyze financial data, maintain forecasting models, and contribute to month-end close while driving continuous improvement across financial processes. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA or other designation is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a finance role.
• Strong accounting and financial analysis knowledge.
• Experience with financial modelling and forecasting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Improve and maintain forecasting models to enhance financial planning and accuracy.
• Review and provide guidance on technical work completed by accountants.
• Prepare reports, analysis, and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Complete month end close requirements and ensure financial statements are published timely.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing processes, controls, and financial practices.
• Prepare financial reporting and update disclosures for year end reporting to stakeholders.
