Job summary

Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC is hiring an Area Manager II at its fulfillment centre in St. Thomas, Ontario.

This is a leadership role that oversees up to 80 associates and drives department-level improvements in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You'll use advanced analytics to diagnose performance gaps, collaborate with HR, Safety, and Quality Assurance, and manage the three stages of the fulfilment workflow—first mile, middle mile, and last mile—while upholding safety standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of up to 80 hourly associates, mentoring them through day-to-day challenges and building their capabilities over time.
• Drive operational improvements at the department level, implementing scalable changes that impact 200+ associates across workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to meet business objectives.
• Diagnose performance gaps using analytics and develop data-driven action plans.
• Facilitate alignment meetings with senior leadership on department goals and priorities.
• Manage customer delivery promises, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time across all three workflow stages.
• Model safety standards in environments with variable temperatures, noise, and lifting up to 49 lbs.
