Job summary

iA Financial Group is seeking a Data Analyst within the Strategy and Analytics team of the Pricing, New Business and Claims division. You’ll transform data into performance drivers and collaborate with pricing, claims and business partners to enable informed decisions.

You will contribute to governance, data quality and BI tooling while applying analytical thinking, SQL skills and data visualization expertise across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, actuarial science, business intelligence or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, BI or similar role
• Proficient in SQL and a BI tool (Power BI or Tableau)
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to analyze complex data
• Able to communicate technical concepts to business partners
• Autonomy, initiative and rigour in validation and documentation
• Interest in technology and ability to learn new tools/languages
• Experience in insurance or financial services; Python or R is an asset

What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in statistics, actuarial science, business intelligence or another related field;
• Has at least two years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a similar role;
• Is proficient in SQL and a data visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau;
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and the ability to analyze complex data;
• Communicates technical concepts effectively to business partners with varied backgrounds;
• Demonstrates autonomy, initiative and rigour, particularly in validation and documentation;
• Has a strong interest in technology and the ability to learn and use new tools and programming languages;
• Has experience in the insurance or financial services industry. Knowledge of a programming language used in data analysis, such as Python or R, is considered an asset.
