Job summary

NorFab Metal and Machine in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Cylinder Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and refurbish hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and related assemblies. The role requires 3–5 years of cylinder repair experience, with a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

The company has completed its 3 rd major expansionsince its inception over 30 years ago, serves industries domestically, nationally and internationally and is CWB certified as well as ISO registered. We are currentlyseeking resumes for the followingfull time positions:

CYLINDER MECHANIC

The Cylinder Mechanic will diagnose, repair, andrefurbish hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and associated assemblies ensuringthey operate at peak efficiency. Must beproficient in teardown, assembly and hone operations.

The ideal candidate will have certification inhydraulics or related field preferred with 3-5 years of experience with hydraulic cylinder repair. The successful candidate will have a highschool diploma or GED equivalent, proficiency in reading and interpretingtechnical manuals and schematics.

• Diagnose & Troubleshoot issues with cylinders
• Use precision measuring tools to verify specifications &tolerances
• Safely disassemble complex hydraulic components
• Perform repairs and replacements of damaged parts
• Precisely reassemble cylinders
• Test repaired cylinder to ensure proper alignment & functionality
• Maintain detailed records of repairs including parts used and servicedates

They willbe able to follow directions, work well with others and have the motivationnecessary to contribute positively to a team environment. This individual will be reliable and punctualat all times and be able to work with minimal supervision. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday, 6:45AMto 5:15PM. Must have a valid Ontario driver’slicense and own transportation to /from work.
