Job summary

Janox Fluid Power Ltd., a division of Boundary Mining Group, designs, supplies, and installs custom hydraulic systems for heavy industry in BC. The Hydraulic Technician / Millwright role covers installation, repair, and testing of pumps, cylinders, motors, valves, and other hydraulic components.

The successful candidate will work on field service projects, read engineering drawings, and collaborate with clients and the office to ensure reliable operation and continued support.

Qualifications

• Millwright background or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of technician experience in hydraulic shop.
• Fundamental understanding of repair and testing of hydraulic components.
• Experience in system troubleshooting, fabrication, field service and field installations.
• Understanding of industrial controls, sensors, switches, relays, etc.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of power unit fabrication, tube/piping installation, welding and machining.

Responsibilities

• Field service, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of hydraulic components.
• Key site contact between client and office.
• Mentoring of junior technician staff.

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Hydraulic Technician / Millwright is responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and testing of all types of hydraulic components including pumps, cylinders, motors, valves, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Field service, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of hydraulic components.
• Key site contact between client and office.
• Mentoring of junior technician staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• Millwrighting background or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of technician experience working in a hydraulic shop.
