Job summary

YMCA Calgary is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative – South to join our welcoming team in Calgary. You will handle memberships and program transactions, assist with inquiries, and contribute to a supportive, service‑oriented environment at the South locations.

Applicants should have excellent customer service skills, strong English communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. A Police Information Check is required and training is provided.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and create opportunities to improve the YMCA experience for all.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization’s products and services.
  • Meet and exceed customers’ expectations in all service aspects at the Customer Service desk.
  • Accurately complete all membership and program transactions, payments, and cash-outs.
  • Communicate a large quantity of information clearly and concisely in person and over the telephone by understanding the organizational structure of the YMCA Calgary Association.
  • Develop and maintain smooth, cooperative working relations with all staff and volunteers.
  • Aid in the training of all new staff and volunteers.
  • Work in a team environment to achieve optimal collective results.
  • Share responsibility for weekly upkeep of desk inventory while always ensuring a well-stocked and clean work area.
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically.

Customer Service Representative - South (Part-Time)

YMCA South Locations: Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton - Remington YMCA - Shawnessy YMCA

Start Date: Immediately

Salary: $15.00/hour - $18.66/hour

  • The successful candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends.
