Job summary

TalentWorld is seeking a Customer Service Representative — Inside Sales in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Transcona). You will juggle the order desk duties, handle customer inquiries by phone and email, and identify upsell opportunities while delivering friendly, solution-focused service.

The role is permanent, full-time, onsite with regular hours, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. A 2–4 year background in customer service or inside sales and CRM/ERP experience are desired; a Class 5 license is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years in customer service, inside sales, or similar client-facing role.
• Proven upsell/cross-sell experience and meeting sales targets.
• CRM/ERP experience; Sage familiarity highly preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office; comfortable with order-processing platforms.
• Familiar with Zendesk or Salesforce Service Cloud; advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for customer inquiries via phone and email with prompt, professional support.
• Troubleshoot complaints and offer effective solutions or alternatives.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to drive revenue.
• Act as inside sales by recommending relevant upgrades and new products.
• Accurately update customer records, transactions, and sales activity.
• Process orders efficiently and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette and clear communication.
• Collaborate with team for seamless service delivery and handoffs.
• Support sales goals by converting service interactions into revenue opportunities.
• Stay current on product offerings and promotions for accurate recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2–4 years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or a similar client-facing role
• Proven track record in upselling, cross-selling, or meeting sales targets within a service environment
• Strong proficiency in CRM and ERP systems; familiarity with Sage or similar software is highly preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating internal order-processing platforms
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Salesforce Service Cloud, EDI platforms, or shipping software is considered an asset.
• Must be available to work Monday to Friday, onsite from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
• Must be able to provide two professional references.
• Must be available to start immediately; immediate availability is considered a strong asset.
• Reliable personal transportation is considered a strong asset.
• A valid Class 5 driver's license is required.
