CARDINAL COURRIER LTÉE is a leading service provider of overnight unattended pick-up before 8:00 a.m. delivery, late pickup and Saturday delivery services in Ontario and Quebec. When expertise and speed matters, early delivery can save significant production and supply chain costs.

We are looking for a Customer Service Agent to join our Operations team.

This position is permanent, full-time and reports to the Operations Supervisor.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Customer Service Agent is responsible for responding to customer inquiries by providing delivery information from our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls in a professional and timely manner;
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, record details of inquiries, complaints and comments and actions taken;
  • Entering information on the pick-up of goods and searching for information;
  • Review merchandise information and provide the customer with shipment-related information;
  • Filing electronic customer order files;
  • Perform data entry and several Excel reports for clients;
  • Process information on undelivered packages and research with our internal departments and software, locate the shipment and make arrangements with customers to send their order.
  • Other relevant duties as required.

Experience and qualifications:

  • 1 year of minimum customer service experience required or related experience (asset).
  • High school diploma.
  • Training on customer service, conflict resolution and business drafting (asset).
  • Experience in the transportation industry or logistics is an asset.

Skills:

  • Articulate communicator, fluent in both verbal and written language in French/English.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to deal with people with sensitivity, tact and professionalism;
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail and follow-up skills;
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines;
  • Computer literacy, including effective Microsoft Suite work skills (intermediate level Excel, Word, and Outlook);
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

We offer:

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $22.50 per hour

  • 8.5-hour shift per day
  • Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Ability to travel to the workplace or plan to move before starting work (mandatory)
