Job summary

Wolseley Canada is a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC/R, waterworks and industrial products in the country. You will engage with customers, identify needs, and provide tailored product information while collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service and timely issue resolution.

A strong emphasis on sales and customer relationships is central to this role. The position offers opportunities to grow within a large, national distributor that supports education

Qualifications

  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience is required.
  • Exhibit a customer service–oriented mentality focused on sales.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and set self-motivated goals.
  • Excellent communication, time management, problem solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Initiate and maintain contact with customers, identify requirements, and provide tailored product information and solutions.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work with internal teams to facilitate seamless customer service, order processing and timely resolution of issues.
  • Sales Operations: Handle quotations and orders through post-delivery support; maintain accurate customer records in the CRM.

What you will do

Customer Engagement – Initiate and maintain contact with customers through inbound and outbound calls, actively identifying their requirements, offering product information, and providing tailored solutions. Develop relationships with assigned accounts to influence sales and margin growth within our service and product offerings. Provide personalized customer service through timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives. Be an expert on our strategic product offering and services. Be a creative problem solver with the ability to understand and resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently.

Collaborative Approach – Work closely with internal teams such as OSRs, Sales Managers, Branch Team, Category Management, to facilitate seamless customer service, order processing, and timely issue resolution.

Sales Operations – Serve as the sales representative handling customer needs ranging from quotations and orders through post‑delivery support. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, interactions, and transactions in our CRM system to ensure efficient tracking and follow‑up. Performance: Compliance to SOP’s and Policies.

What you will bring
  • Prior sales and/or customer service experience is required.
  • Exhibit a highly motivated customer service-oriented mentality with ability to build long‑term relationships focused on sales.
  • Ability to react well in a fast‑paced environment, follow through on commitments, work independently and set self‑motivated goals.
  • Proven track record of responding quickly to customer needs and ability to make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Requires excellent communication, time management, problem solving and organizational skills with a high-level autonomy and decision‑making.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of company products and services necessary for success.
