Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a Warehouse Associate to load, unload, pick, pack and ship orders, verify incoming shipments, and move goods to the correct area. You’ll support delivery schedules, maintain housekeeping, and uphold safety procedures in a busy yard, including extended periods working in heat and cold.

This role prefers candidates with warehouse/yard experience, basic computer skills, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse or yard experience is considered an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, are an asset.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative.
  • Able to regularly lift (up to 50lbs pounds); Forklift operation required; training and certification will be provided.
  • WHMIS and TDG certification - training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload materials in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines and customer commitments.
  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders, including preparing necessary shipment documentation.
  • Receive all incoming shipments, verify product accuracy, and authorize receipt.
  • Distribute products to the correct warehouse or yard area promptly.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety procedures within the yard.
  • Load items and orders into the truck while adhering to delivery schedules, safety standards, and destination-specific regulations.
  • Extended periods working in heat and cold environments.
