Job summary

Willson International is seeking an Import Analyst to join our remote team in Canada. You will liaise with Canada Customs, clients, and carriers to clear truck freight imports for entry into Canada, using multiple software programs.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in a Customs Brokerage environment, strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, and meticulous attention to detail. We offer a remote work setup with internet reimbursement, vacation, RRSP matching, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a Customs Brokerage environment, clearing ground shipments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and database skills.
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written is required.
• Accuracy and attention to detail is required.
• Must have Custom Import Analyst Experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Canada Customs, clients, and shipping companies to ensure international Truck Freight imports are cleared for entry into Canada.
• Use multiple computer programs to input required information into our database.
• Communicate with clients, and transportation carriers via email and phone.
• Partner with internal departments, such as Logistics and Finance, plus varying government agencies to resolve discrepancies.

Key Qualifications

• Clearance & Rating experience required
• High School Diploma required
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a Customs Brokerage environment, clearing ground shipments
• Proficiency in MS Office and database skills
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written is required
• Accuracy and attention to detail is required
• CCS designation is an asset
