Willson International is seeking an Air/Ocean Import Analyst to manage shipments, liaise with Canada Customs, clients, and carriers, and ensure imports clear for entry into Canada. This hybrid role requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.

The position offers a 47,000–61,000 CAD salary range and a hybrid work setup (1 day in-office, 4 days from home), with a shift from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and benefits including RRSP,

Qualifications

• High school Diploma is required, post-secondary education preferred.
• Minimum 3-4 years’ releasing goods in a customs brokerage environment - Air/Ocean.
• CCS designation is an asset.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Canada Customs, clients, and shipping companies to clear international Air/Ocean imports for entry into Canada.
• Input required information into our database using multiple computer programs.
• Communicate with clients and transportation carriers via email and phone.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Logistics and Finance, plus government agencies to resolve discrepancies.

Description of Role

• As an Import Analyst, you are responsible for liaising with multiple third parties (including Canada Customs, our clients, and shipping companies) to ensure international Air/Ocean imports are cleared for entry into Canada.
• Use multiple computer programs, to input required information into our database
• Communicate with clients, and transportation carriers via email and phone
• Partner with internal departments, such as Logistics and Finance, plus varying government agencies to resolve discrepancies

Key Qualifications

• High school Diploma is required, post-secondary education preferred
• Minimum 3-4 years’ releasing goods in a customs brokerage environment - Air/Ocean
• CCS designation is an asset
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
• An eye for detail is critical for success in the role
• A proactive problem solving mindset
