Job summary

Prairie Land Public School Division is seeking a Lead Custodian to join our Facilities team. This part-time role (approximately 10 hours per week, 0.25 FTE) reports to the Director of Facilities and supports custodial operations across the division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement and testing of custodial products, conducting audits and inspections, and training newly hired custodians, while coordinating with site-level staff.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills required to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to complete tasks timely with minimal supervision, and ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Experience in custodial work, training, or supervisory capacity would be an asset.

Position Overview

Prairie Land Public School Division is seeking a Lead Custodian to join our Facilities team. This is a part-time position commencing as soon as possible and working approximately 10 hours per week (0.25 FTE). The successful candidate will report to the Director of Facilities and will be responsible for supporting custodial operations throughout the division.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required to effectively manage and track a variety of responsibilities.
• The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision, and the flexibility to work collaboratively with team members both independently and as part of a group.
• Experience in custodial work, training, or a supervisory capacity would be considered an asset.

Internal Application Note

For an internal applicant, the Lead Custodian responsibilities may be incorporated into the employee's existing custodial assignment, where operationally feasible, with the specific schedule and duties determined in consultation with the Director of Facilities.
