Custodian - Casual

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and motivated individual to join our team as a casual Custodian. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students and staff. Working independently, you will be responsible for the cleaning and sanitization of school facilities in accordance with established health, safety, and sanitation standards.

This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical duties, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and carrying out repetitive tasks throughout the workday. Previous experience in custodial work and knowledge of standard cleaning methods, equipment, and procedures would be considered an asset.

As a casual Custodian, you will provide backup custodial services on an on‑call basis and may be required to work a variety of shifts, including occasional split shifts, to support operational needs. Comprehensive training will be provided on the operation and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment, the safe handling of cleaning products and chemicals, and workplace safety practices. All required personal protective equipment will be supplied.

Competition will remain open until suitable candidates are found.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check satisfactory to PLRD prior to commencement.
