Job summary

St. Gerard Catholic School is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment across the Grande Prairie area. The role involves daily cleaning in classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas to support morale and the school's appearance.

Ideal candidates will have good communication, attention to detail, and a strong ability to keep the facilities neat. Requirements include some high school, WHMIS training, and a Police Information Check if selected.

Position Overview

Custodians are responsible to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment, which contributes a great deal to the morale of the school population and an appealing appearance to the public.

Ideal Candidate Qualities

• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Attention to detail
• Keep building neat and clean at all times
• Empty trash containers in classrooms, bathrooms and all common areas throughout the facility daily
• Vacuum/dry mop all floors and stairs daily
• Clean bathrooms (sinks, toilets and counters/fixtures/dispensers and walls/door frames) and classroom sinks daily

Desired Qualifications

Starting compensation will be as per the collective agreement: $24.57/hour along with a generous benefit package.
