Assistant Custodian

Part‑Time (0.50 FTE / 4 hours per day / Mon‑Fri) – Temporary

Notre Dame Elementary School, Bonnyville, Alberta

Serving students in an elementary setting, this position requires a dependable individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful learning environment. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Head Custodian and school administration to support the overall care and upkeep of the school facility while contributing to a welcoming, faith‑centred school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily cleaning and sanitation of classrooms, hallways, washrooms, offices, and common areas
• Support routine custodial and light maintenance tasks, including floor care, waste removal, and restocking supplies
• Assist with room setups and takedowns for school events and activities
• Monitor building conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns as required
• Follow established health, safety, WHMIS, and division procedures
• Work cooperatively with custodial staff and school administration
• Contribute to a safe, orderly, and respectful Catholic school environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned
